Many people say that emotions are recorded in our body, the feelings that we experience redefine who we are, and many people say that when you arrive to the desert you become aware of both the smallness and the greatness of our lives, which allow us to enjoy the magic of the desert.

First day

Arriving in the evening to Ouarzazat takes you to another culture without becoming aware.

This first night discovering all the Moroccan habits allows us to take a walk for its streets, know intuitively its monuments, taste our first tea, listen to the sounds of their language, the background music in the coffee terraces, the awakening bustle of the Moroccan nights, contemplate the details of its decoration, the polychrome woods, the small coloured lamps, the carpets, and star to enjoy the exquisite hospitality and the exotic flavours of the species and traditional cuisine.

Ouarzazat is the door to the Desert.

Second day

Departure from Ouarzazat to Zagora

Have you ever felt your eyes tired wanting to see everything around you?
This is the tour that will introduce us into the genuine Ch’gaga desert. Many landscapes, mountains, valleys, rivers, endless palm trees, camels, children going to school, women with traditional clothes, kashbes, and even more kashbes coloured clothes hanged in the river stones, the great river Draa, protagonist of the great valley of Draa.

After having breakfast, we will visit the kashba taourit, the old residence of the Marrakech’s Pasha, where you can still discover its rooms and the different halls, perfectly preserved. With the original stuccos and mosaics, it takes you to another period. A castle of sand and straw, declared World Heritage by Unesco. We will take a walk for the Agdz market, a typical Moroccan market, and finally we will arrive to Zagora where we will visit the Jewish kashba and, at the end of the day, we will rest in a special riad in the middle of the palm tree.

Third day

Departure from Zagora to Ch’gaga

After having breakfast, we will continue the tour towards Tamegroute where we will visit its famous Koranic library which has its origins in 1575, containing about 4,000 original manuscripts.

Tamegroute is a little town with subterranean streets where artisan potters work the clay until they get original pieces, well known for its green color.
We will prosecute the road to M’hamid el Ghizlane, the last palm of the Draa River, just where the big sand dunes and the Algeria’s border starts. Here the river disappears becoming subterranean and not reappearing until it arrives to the Atlantic Ocean. There we will enjoy a nice ride on camels, a meal under the palm tree in a little oasis and then, we will continue with the tour, going into the desert, we will leave the civilian forms, crossing through past dunes and acacias finally arriving to the haimas bivouac, in the middle of nowhere, where we will spend the night, surrounded by dunes and dunes with the sunset as the best show of the day.

Sitting on the dunes, we will see the sunset and the stars appearing, first one, then two… until a constellation will cover our heads while we are lying peacefully on a carpet or around a campfire with the tam tam music and the songs of the desert men.

Fourth Day

From Ch’gaga desert to the Kasbah Aït bien Addou

After contemplating the sunrise and having a good breakfast, we will continue the tour to the desert, until the Iriki Lake where we will see camels, gazelles, and later Foum-z-guid where we will have lunch.

We will arrive to the Kasbah aid Ben Addou, being declared World Heritage Site by Unesco, with enough time to visit it with a guide who will tell us the secrets hidden behind the walls, where some families lived several years ago, and in which, nowadays, a small group of artisans are showing their goods in small shops in the streets of kashba.

Ksar Aït Bien Addou is a monumental and magical fortress city. The most well preserved kashba of Morocco, World Heritage Site and a pass point of the main caravan routes until the beginning of the 20th century.

Fifth day

Crossing the Atlas to arrive to Marrakech

You need to take the route that crosses the Atlas by the saddle of Tichka in order to arrive to Marrakech, which has a height of 2,260 meters. It is the best place to have a tea made with mountain herbs, which contains thyme. Let your eyes get lost in the landscape, which redefines its shape as we realize that we approach the end of great intensively lived days.

Then the silent of the desert contrast with the crowd of Marrakech. We will rest the last night in the Medina, near the square.

Sixth day

Marrakech is a city intensely coloured, with a great variety of smells, faces… It is the bazaar where everything is possible and where you can find everything, it is the city where you can take a walk around the labyrinth streets of the bazaar, losing yourself without knowing where you will get; every single corner hides a surprise for you. It is taghim, couscous, dates, nuts, orange juice and mint tea, it is the Jmaa-el-Fnaa square, quiet in the morning and noisily crowed at night.

Marrakech is the luxury of a “special” very cold beer in a terrace where you sit exhausted after having gone around and bargained during the day, silently contemplating the Atlas Mountains and the palm trees. The only thing that breaks this silence is the call to pray from the different mosques around the city.

Marrakech is the stress of cars, motorbikes, bikes, vans and buses, and at the same time, it is the peace of the riad backyard with shining candles. It is a walled red medieval city, where leather artisans work just as they did in the ancient times, but it is also, by contrast, The Mamounia, the luxury, The Maseratis, the golf clubs, the mansions and palaces.

This will be our last day offering us a journey taking us away to distant lands, the desert, and the tradition of a Berber culture, the sensations of Africa and the emotions that will have helped us grow.

A journey intensely enjoyed that, in any case, implies a definitive good bye but a forthcoming “see you soon”.
